When someone tells you: "I'm there for you". What does it really say? They care for you? They love you? They will stand by your side? They'll never leave you? They'll always believe in you? What does it truly mean, when someone tells you that? Did you ever have a person tell you that sentence? I have! They might have cared, but half of them aren't here anymore. Half of them left, changed, or moved away ... Did you ever tell yourself, that maybe that's all what life, friendship, and love is all about? Meeting people, start holding on to them, opening your heart to them, changing their life in some way, and watch them move on. Only a few people won't walk away on you. Did you ever just sit down, and think about your past. The life's you changed, the people who changed your life, the people that life took away, the ones you loved, the ones you trusted, and finally you stop and think, what is this for? What is friendship, love and family for? To make you feel like you have people around you? But, what if in the end everybody leaves and you are left heartbroken? Should you just enjoy the time you had with them?

Did you ever think that in two years and a couple of months, it's our prom? The day where everyone will party together for one last time. All your friends will be reunited and will be having fun with you. What happens after that night? I can't seem to forget that everyone will be leaving their own way to college. Some will be going to New York, while others will be in Grece. Some will be in Trois- Rivieres, others in Saint-Constant. But, where does this lead you? Do you keep your old friends? Because, even though you find new friends, we all know that the people that were with you during your high school, have seen you smile and seen you cry, those are your real friends.

I realize more just how many lives are affected by deaths. Deaths are not only a matter of a single death; there are many "little deaths", changing the people forever. The pain resonates like an echo in a series of tunnels. Parents lose beloved children, parents are torn from their children, and children too young to fully accept the death, are destined to mature in a blick of an eye. Family will never again have a complete Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgivin; there will always be empty chairs. Friends will grow older and no longer resemble their yearbook but they will ressemble pictures of lost loved ones..
